Keystone - for unbiased advice

We deal with New Zealand’s leading life and health insurers and have access to a wide range of products, but we don’t favour any single brand or work for a bank. Our promise is to offer you only the products that are the best match for your needs and your budget.

It’s not about insurance; it’s about you

Everyone is unique, and everyone’s needs are different. That’s why our focus is not on what kind of insurance you want; it’s on what you want to achieve in life. By sharing your financial goals with Keystone, you can be sure you’ll receive a tailored solution that’s just right for you.

Are you over-insured?

Have you ever wondered whether you have too much insurance? Or if your existing policies provide the right kind of cover? By having your needs reviewed by Keystone, you can be sure you’ll only be offered the types of insurance you actually need, at the appropriate cover value, making sure you only spend what’s necessary.

The importance of disclosure

When you apply for any kind of insurance, it’s vital to tell the truth about anything that might affect the acceptance of your cover, even if it seems insignificant. Failure to disclose something relevant could result in a claim not being paid. Make sure your insurance is there for you when you need it by being upfront when you apply.

How it works for you

  1. Meet and get to know you:

We make a time to meet either in person, via zoom or by phone.

  2. Understand your situation:

At our first meeting we will gather some information about you and your situation.  We want to gain an understanding of your potential areas of financial concern, should the unexpected happen to your health.

  3. Analyse and research:

We then conduct research, to then prepare recommendations for you.  These recommendations will identify the ideal Insurance provider and package of insurances for your financial situation and future needs.

  4. Report back:

We then meet again to present the recommendations to you and to help you select insurance that will fit your budget.

  5. Implement:

Once you have decided on the insurances to put in place, we assist you with completion of application forms and putting the insurance in place.

  6. Ongoing service:

Once your new policy is in place, we then provide an ongoing service to you.  We make contact every year to ensure your insurance remains relevant and fit-for-purpose.  And we are here to take an active role in helping you, should you need to claim on your policy (hopefully that wont be needed).

  7. Insurance Providers:

We use an extensive range of Insurance providers and identify the best fit for your situation.

The providers to select from include:

  • AIA Life

  • Asteron

  • Cigna

  • Fidelity Life

  • Partners Life

  • NIB Health

  • Southern Cross

  • Vero (for house, car and contents insurance)

How much do you need to keep it together?

An effective backup plan means knowing how you’ll hold your finances together during these five possible events.

1. You need medical diagnosis or treatment

Don’t let cost prevent you from accessing specialist testing and private medical care. Avoid public healthcare waiting lists and take control of your treatment choices.

2. You can’t work because of illness or injury

Ensure that you can pay your household bills, accommodation costs, KiwiSaver contributions, and maintain your standard of living until you recover.

3. You’ve suffered a major health event

Avoid financial worries at a stressful time. Keep your finances together and get the best of care, giving yourself the best chance of recovery.

4. YOU’VE BECOME TOTALLY AND PERMANENTLY DISABLED

Repay debt, set up your financial future, and make necessary changes to your home that will improve the quality of your life.

5. You’ve suffered a terminal illness or passed away

Have peace of mind knowing that your family will be able to clear debt, cover funeral costs, put aside money for education, and set themselves up for a sound financial future.
